I am preparing
"Signature Story Workshop" with the music surrounding me, like a
hypnotic music for my writing therapy I do every day.
The music sent
me to my time-tunnel, recalling my stories, I can't help to Wow, “how did
I come to here today?”
When first time
stepping on Hong Kong such a free-land, I was not carefree but felt so heavy,
hesitant , shy, timid and pondering where to start, to go, to pick up from
knowing only ABC in such competitive society, and with only HK$10 at my pocket.
That was where I started together with my
extremely optimistic, grateful family.
Thinking back, I
Can't Help to be Grateful - So many people have helped me and have been helping
me, my teachers, coaches, mentors, friends, and my family, most
importantly myself...
Life is full of
opportunities and challenges, life is an adventure. As my icon Oprah Winfrey
says, "There is no such thing as failure. Failure is just life trying to
move us in a different direction." And also this saying, driving us to
move forward to chase our dreams:
I
am grateful to have chance to hear so many real life, lovely, inspiring stories
from my practice.
My career gives me chances to hear stories from all walks
of people, they cry, tearfully and they laugh, tearfully, i cry and laugh with them. People want to be heard;
our sleep dreams, nightmares want to be listened to. Then, we are released, brightened
up, healed by ourselves, inspired by ourselves, empowered by ourselves.
People heal themselves always. I am only an accompany, an
channel, an angel from the love
of the world.
What is story therapy about?
Narrative Therapy looks towards our intentions, values,
commitments, principles and ‘hopes and dreams’. It also helps us recognise and
resist the normative judgements (comparisons, for example) that are so strong
in modern western society.
Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the
world today. (Robert McKee)
